We celebrated Diwali and performed Diwali Pooja in our Mumbai office yesterday with our team. It was a wonderful experience.
I always felt young and continue to do so. I have been pondering over the reasons. Yesterday I was interviewing Dr Aquil Busrai for our Leadership Interview series. He said that he derived his energy from the youngsters he works with. Watch out this space for his full interview.
I realised that I also derive my energy from the youngsters that I have worked with in the past and continue to work with now. The average age of our team is 24 years. They are young, vibrant, full of ideas, great energy, high performing, highly aspirational, and raring to go.
Our success in the market and with the clients is because of this team. They are led by the young co-founder, Saurabh Jain. Their energy and dynamism is infectious.
They have taught me new lessons in technology, strategy, innovation, and above all focussed implementation. This has ensured that I am not obsolete. Thanks W.E.-Matter Team.
Special thanks to teams I have worked in the past. Some of the youngsters I worked with and who motivated me are Reman Singh, Rakhi Singh, Neisha Lobo, Ryan Lowe, Gitanjali Saksena, Srabani, Saurabh Bansal, and the list can go on. I must mention that I learn a lot from my sons Varun Srivastava and Shourya Srivastava.
Reverse mentoring by GEN Z and millennials have helped stay relevant and young.
